What concerns should we have around patent issues where national security is inv0lved? In-q-tel (www.in-q-tel.com) is the vc arm for the CIA and military investing in new technology with both commercial and intelligence applications. I believe current pres of ASU is chair.. so how does making patents easier to get around affect national security?
It is very unlikely to have an impact on national security.
Patents actually disclose a lot of information about items.
If you need to keep something a secret, you are certainly not going to patent it.
